THE PERSON BEHIND NOA

Florian Paul Koenig founded NOA contemporary in 2019.

He works as manager, strategist, and advisor — closest of all to Simon Berger, whose worldwide career he steers day to day. His way of working is precise and structural, built for decisions that hold over time.

The rest is presence: 20 to 50 fairs, biennials, and museum openings each year — a network spanning galleries, institutions, and collections from Europe to the Middle East, Asia, and the United States.

Much of the work happens away from public view — in studios, in negotiations, in long conversations. This site is where the results become visible.

WHO NOA IS

NOA contemporary represents a select group of contemporary artists — from first strategy to lasting placement. Founded in 2019 by Florian Paul Koenig.

At the centre of the work stands Simon Berger. NOA manages the artist's career worldwide — exhibitions and museum projects from Washington to Murano to Sarajevo, commissions and live performances, editions and publications.

Around this primary collaboration, engagements take different forms — some close and continuous, others advisory or tied to a specific context. The structural questions are the same throughout: positioning, institutional relationships, placements, contracts, editions, archives

HOW NOA WORKS

For artists — There is no application process. Collaborations grow out of sustained conversations, often over years. What we look for is a distinct practice and the intention to build something over decades, not seasons.

For collectors and institutions — We prefer direct relationships to broad distribution. If you are interested in a work, a loan, or a project, write to us — you will hear back from a person, not a process.
